Central Europe is a region between Eastern, Southern, Western and Northern Europe. The region is variously defined, but may include Austria, Croatia (alternatively placed in Southeast Europe), the Czech Republic, Germany (alternatively placed in Western Europe), Hungary (alternatively placed in Southeast Europe), Lithuania (alternatively placed in Eastern Europe), Poland (alternatively placed in Eastern Europe), Slovakia (alternatively placed in Eastern Europe), Slovenia (alternatively placed in Southeast Europe) and Switzerland (alternatively placed in Western Europe). Only Switzerland and the microstate of Liechtenstein are not EU member states but share close economic and cultural ties with the region but also have stayed away largely for economic and historical reasons. It is a large and important region stretching from the Baltic Sea in the north to the Adriatic in the south. It is also home to some of Europe's and the world's most prosperous economies and cities. Lastly, it includes the fabled mountain range of the Alps which acts a transition zone between the Latin, Germanic and Slavic cultures which all call the region home. It is heavily influenced by Gothic Germanic culture which finds its way into Eastern Europe.
After breakfast, start exploring Austria’s capital city. See Vienna in a relaxing way with a Hop on – Hop off bus tour. Set your own pace, get on and off at any of the 35 stops, as often as you wish. Make sure to check out the shopping along the Graben Street in the Old Town. Also remember to visit one of the famous Viennese cafes. Explore the Old Town and Castle
Morning (9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.): Bratislava Castle
Walk or take a bus up the hill to Bratislava Castle, the city's most iconic landmark.
Stroll through the castle grounds for panoramic views of the city, the Danube River, and the unique UFO Bridge.
The exterior and views are the main attraction, but you can also visit the Slovak National Museum inside.
Lunch (1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.): Traditional Slovak lunch
Descend the hill into the Old Town and dine at a restaurant offering traditional Slovak food, such as bryndzové halušky (potato dumplings with sheep cheese).
Afternoon (2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.): Old Town walking tour
Michael's Gate: Enter the medieval Old Town through this last remaining gate from the city's fortifications.
Main Square (Hlavné námestie): Visit the charming main square with its many colorful buildings, cafes, and historic Old Town Hall.
Čumil statue: Look for the quirky bronze statue of a man peeking out of a manhole, a favorite photo spot for tourists.

After breakfast, join the Hop on – Hop off tour. Explore Old town, the heart of Prague, with its well preserved 13th century houses and churches. The Old Town Square is home to the famous Astronomical Clock which draws onlookers who gather to observe the skeleton ringing the bell and the other figurines which appear. When the bell chimes the hour, a trumpeter sounds a fanfare from the top of the tower. Hop off and see The Metronome monument, which is situated where the Stalin memorial statue once stood, and enjoy stunning views of the city. Take a cruise on Vltava river, which offers a scenic and relaxing way to explore Prague and its iconic landmarks. Overnight in Prague.

Morning: Mountain views and ancient history
Ride the funicular to the Hallstatt Skywalk: Take the funicular up the Salzberg (Salt Mountain) for a panoramic view of the town, lake, and surrounding mountains from the triangular viewing platform.
Tour the Hallstatt Salt Mine: Located near the Skywalk, this is the world's oldest salt mine. The 90-minute tour takes you deep into the mountain, where you can slide down wooden miners' slides and learn about Hallstatt's prehistoric "white gold" history.
Hike down the Salt Brine Trail: Instead of taking the funicular back, walk down the historic brine pipeline trail. This scenic path offers lovely views and winds past a waterfall on the way back into town.
Afternoon: Explore the village
Stroll through the Old Town and Market Square: Wander through the quaint streets and admire the 16th-century houses. The charming Market Square (Marktplatz) is a great spot to take photos.
See the Hallstatt Ossuary (Bone House): Visit the unique chapel near the Catholic Church to see over 1,200 elaborately painted human skulls, a tradition that developed due to the small town's limited burial space.
Find the iconic photo spot: Locate the "Classic Village Viewpoint" to capture the famous postcard-perfect image of Hallstatt.

Exploring Innsbruck's Old Town
This day is dedicated to discovering the rich history and charm of Innsbruck's historic core.
Morning: Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl) and City Tower. Start your day at the city's most famous landmark, the Golden Roof, a beautiful building with a balcony adorned with 2,657 gilded copper tiles. Afterward, climb the nearby City Tower (Stadtturm) for panoramic views over the Old Town and the surrounding mountains.
Afternoon: Imperial Palace (Hofburg) and Court Church (Hofkirche). Walk to the Imperial Palace, a grand Habsburg residence that once hosted Emperor Maximilian I. Afterwards, visit the Court Church, which contains Maximilian's elaborate tomb surrounded by 28 larger-than-life bronze statues.
Evening: Stroll Maria-Theresien-Straße. Enjoy an evening walk down Maria-Theresien-Straße, the main street of Innsbruck. Lined with shops, restaurants, and baroque architecture, it offers beautiful views of the mountains, especially with the Anna Column at its center.

The tour starts from the Chain Bridge, pass by the Parliament and take the Margaret Bridge to drive over to the Buda side. Stop in the Castle District and enjoy a short walk. See the Matthias Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion (from where you can enjoy the beautiful panorama).
Next, drive to the Gellért Hill (Citadel) and see the most spectacular view of Budapest. Then travel across the Elisabeth Bridge to Pest and see the famous Central Market Hall and the largest Synagogue of Europe. Pass by Europe’s largest thermal spa, the Budapest Zoo and the Amusement Park, then stop at the Heroes’ Square (with statues of the most famous Hungarian kings and dukes). Take the Andrássy Avenue to downtown Pest, pass by the Opera House and the St Stephen’s Basilica. The Tour ends in the city Centre. Spend the rest of the day exploring this great city on your own. Overnight in Budapest.
